Our client had obtained a short term rolling lease on the courtyard space (outside space ONLY) in front of the grade one listed historic Cambridge House, located on Piccadilly London. The mansion is steeped in History, Dukes, Prime Ministers, Lords, the navy and military club, known as the ‘in and out’ club and so on… The objective was to find the best solution to make commercial usage of the space with limited budget and with non-permanent fixtures and fittings.
We proposed an upscale street food market idea that made full use of the historic setting of the mansion and it’s location. A Very British Affair food and drink courtyard, named “AVBA” Offering the latest contemporary British and commonwealth innovative street food. Accompanied by the very best in drink products being produced on these fair shores, targeting tourists, destination visits, local business and corporate events.
Visualising the look, layout, styling, design and branding identity and project managed the building team and design execution. In addition providing full support for the concept, and in doing so delivered:
- AVBA website and communication tool that allowed for data capture
- Social media presence
- A launch plan including exclusive tie up with key media
- Consulted on all prop design features and furniture
- Sourced staffing and created drink menu for the bar concept
- Researched and attracted top street food traders for the market.
